“ So delicious. The best sushi we've ever had. The dinner was great too and the staff was very attentive. Our waitress Jennifer was wonderful!! ”
“ My experience here is always excellent! All staff are busy and do a super job. Our favorite is Ray. The persons cleaning tables are thorough, being sure to clean edges and under condiments. The cooks are truely skilled as well. I have had the clam chowder, lobster, steamed clams, tossed salad, walleye, fried whole clams, rainbow trout etc...and cole slaw. The menu has all great choices. The ambiance is perfect, down to the cute light at the table. Artwork is on every wall and beautiful etched glass as well. I feel like I am on the seaside! If you enjoy seafood, you MUST go! They even have oyster stew. I continue to return to try the rest of menu. They also have a super fish counter to take home cook yourself. ”

“ The Seafood Market is one of three good places in the Des Moines area where you can dine in and then walk across the hallway to pickup a good assortment of reasonably — as fresh as you can get in Iowa — flown in seafood. A tradition 40 days before Easter on Friday is to have fish leading up to Easter Sunday. The catfish strip basket with sweet potato fries and cold slaw was exceptionally moist and tasty. Not to mention my fan favorite their Key Lime Pie that is beyond heavenly. My dine in server- Raven G. — was very customer oriented making sure you had everything you needed to enjoy your meal. After lunch I strolled over to the market— the assistant manager- Server S - is very knowledgeable about where the different types of fish come from and tosses in a bit of trivia. The King Salmon and the Walleye were cut to my specifications. The texture, color and smell were exceptional. This market is one of our gems in West Des Moines always customer forward. ”
“ We tried all 3 raw oyster varieties. Incredibly fresh and delish!!! My husband had the blackened salmon and that was amazing! I had the clam chowder and the crab cakes. Chowder was great but I'd pass on the crab cakes next time. The service was great!!! Great value for such a wonderful seafood experience. ”
“ Wow! This company takes so much pride in their seafood. Flown in fresh every day and even the oysters taste as good as if we were on the coast. My wife grew up on fresh seafood and very few seafood restaurants in the Midwest pass the test and this one did. Our waiter Ray was very accommodating and he is a seafood aficionado with professional advice on what dishes to order and how to cook them. We felt so much at home I took a selfie with Ray to add to this outstanding review. We had a bottle of wine with our meal that was reasonably priced compared to other restaurants which pushed our price up a bit. Can’t wait to go back! ”

“ Amazing Fish, called Waterfront on a Friday afternoon asking for 10-15lbs of walleye for a fish fry. Without hesitation they reserved 12 fillets of freshly caught walleye and told me they would be ready for pickup that night. The quality and freshness of this fresh caught walleye from Lake Erie was hands down some of the best fish I have ever tasted. Highly recommend the fresh market fish! ”
